How We Work

Our initial consultation is always free.

You will find we are honest and straight about the likely outcome of your case and options for resolution. We will always keep you informed on progress and will work closely with you.

We explain things as clearly as we can. Some clients appreciate that we speak their language. Jack Tam is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hakka, Malay and Bahasa Indonesian.

We always keep in mind alternatives to litigation and the possibility of agreed resolution of your dispute. Settlement can help people move on in their lives and careers. For commercial clients, our objective is to arrive at cost-effective solutions, so your business can concentrate on what it does best – serving your customers.

WHO WE WORK WITH

Successful dispute resolution requires teamwork.

We will represent you directly at IPT and ACC appeal hearings.

For High Court proceedings and commercial matters, we like to work with experienced barristers for their advocacy expertise to provide the best possible service. This ensures you benefit from a wide range of legal skills and your case is presented to maximum effect.

We will be there to advise on strategy, help prepare evidence, guide you through the process, and achieve the desired outcome.

In practice, our commitment to teamwork provides great outcomes for our clients.

our fees

It is important for clients to know how much our services will cost.

For our immigration and ACC work, we often offer a fixed fee. Other advisory matters, and Court proceedings, are based on an hourly rate.

We do not offer conditional fees. We will give you information about our fees before you engage us.

We understand that dispute resolution can be stressful and time-consuming and sometimes represents a wasted cost for businesses. We will work with you at all stages of a dispute to ensure you only pay a reasonable fee and receive value for money.
